Am I too nice?

grass.jpg  Remember a couple weeks ago I shared with you that my neighbor emailed me at work… not to tell me that she was getting married…  no, she emailed to ask if I could get her grass, because….

I thought it was funny/cute at the time, b/c planning a wedding and then actually getting through the ceremony and then the reception and being whisked away to paradise can rob your attention from remembering to cut the grass!  She offered to pay, but I declined.  My wedding present to her!

Well, I have not heard from her since her marriage and her honeymoon.  Unless she is on a 3 week honeymoon…

Well, I am not sure if when she asked me to cut her grass, she thought that I would continue to cut it for her.  She just asked me to do that job while she was away.  Well, it’s been a couple of weeks and I certainly had to cut my grass.  Then I looked over in her yard, just a jungle.  As far as I know she hasn’t been back to her house since the wedding.  I have to assume that she moved in to her (now) husbands house.  So what do you think I did?

Hmmm, should I continue to cut the grass or let it go?  I do think that it was very nice of me to go ahead and cut her lawn, a second time, even though she didn’t ask a second time.  I don’t have her phone number or email address to talk to her about her lawn.  I guess I could send her a letter and it will be forwarded to her new address ;)

Your input would be appreciated.  You can email me at  sbartro at entercom.com

    First…yes, you are too nice.

Second…her husband should be cutting the grass now and calling the real estate agent to list said house.

Third…if new hubby doesn’t cut the grass, your neighborhood association should maintain the lawn to keep property values up…and send her the invoice.

Fourth…but you don’t know where she now resides…hmmmm…if you have her name, you can look on the internet for her recorded marriage (county square website I think)then find out his name too…and google him, thus perhaps finding the new address…and then sending her that invoice : )

Fifth…good grief, now I’m worried about her..do you think something terrible happened???
